Pathway to the Park,

Your Self-Propelled Adventure Awaits.

The Pathway to the Park will connect the town of Hinton to Jasper National Park.

Our primary goal is to build a trail that will be accessible for beginners while staying fun for more experienced enthusiasts. We are currently in the process of mapping a potential 26-kilometer route. Upon completion, it will be a gentle, paved right-of-way from the west end of Hinton, AB, to Jasper National Park’s East Gates. The plan includes scenic rest stops with picnic areas, viewpoints, and interpretive signage along the way.

Our goal is to complete the project in time for Summer 2024.

Our Organization

In June 2021, we formed the West Yellowhead Trail Society. This was the first of many exciting steps to come over the next three and a half years (and beyond!). We are currently in the process of securing funding and will soon hire a project manager to steer the project forward.
